The following quoted from the results of family research by Nancy Moyer:
- Other information indicates that When her Brother, Isaac, died she (together with her Mother) finished raising his three daughters.Anna E. Giering was initially a school teacher. At the time of the 1880 census, she was assistant postmaster of Emaus, serving under her Father who was postmaster. When her brother, Isaacc died in 1895, she and her mother Caroline Elizabeth (Stahl) Giering finished raising his three daughters. By 1900 she was employed as a bookkeeper in the Keystone Silk Mills. In 1918, Anna had a heart attack and died suddenly.
