OBITUARY:The following obituary appears in conjunction with Clarence's Death (Page B4, Col 1, Allentown Morning Call, Oct 5, 1983):

Clarence O. Giering

Clarence O. Giering, 82, of 653 Walnut Street, Emmaus, died Tuesday in the Valley Manor Nursing Center, Coopersberg. He was the husband of Laura (Ringer) Giering.

He was a mechanic for Mack Trucks, Inc. for 30 years before retiring in 1966.

He was a member of the Emmaus Moravian Church, where he was a former elder and trustee.

Surviving with his widow are a son, Willard C. of Quakertown; a daughter Lorraine, wife of Thurman Hinkle of York; two sisters, Lillian, wife of William Renner of Bethlehem, and Mrs Madaline Selfries of Allentown, and two step-brothers, Raymond Miller of Clearwater, Fla., and Martin Miller of West {alm Beach, Fla.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in the Church. A calling hour will precede the services in the church.

The Horace W. Schantz Funeral Home, 3rd and Main Streets, Emmaus is in charge of the arrangements.
