OBITUARY:
John Owen Archibald Funeral services for John Owen Archibald, aged 32, Botsford Road Poland, who died at 4:30 a.m. Thurday in Denver, Colo, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the David son Bennett Funeral home. He was in the industrial engineering department of Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. Before he took ill two years ago. Born 7/7/1912 in Youngstown, Mr. Archibald was a son of Thomas and Lulu Archibald, and had lived in Poland since he was four years old. He was graduated from Poland Seminary High School, in 1930, where he was active in athletics. He attended Newberry College in North Carolina and was a member of Poland Presbyterian Church. Besides his wife, Alice Marie Giering Archibald, whom he married 9/15/1937, Mr. Archibald leaves a son Charles Thomas, His parents and a sister, Mrs. C. Lester Braman all of Poland. The body will arrive Saturday morning. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
