Mrs. Susanna Bowman, the oldest resident of Beaver township, died at the home of he son, J. C. Bowman, North Lima Friday evening about 7 o'clock. Death was due to the infirmities attending upon old age. She was in her 95th year.
Despite her advanced age, Mrs. Bowman had always good health up until a few weeks ago. She retained all her faculties unimpaired up to the time of her death.
Mrs Bowman was born near Pleasant Grove, Boardman Township, March 7, 1814. The subsequent years of her long and useful life were spent in this vicinity. Because of her long residence in this county the deceased was widely known. She was highly regarded. Mrs. Bowman was a woman who was ever ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, which trait endeared her to all with whom she came in contact. She is survided [sic] by the following children: John C. Bowman. of North Lima; Mrs Lucinda Synder, of Woodworth, and Mrs. Susanna Becszol of Crawford County, Pa. Her husband, William Bowman, died 29 years ago.
The funeral will be help Monday at 1 o'clock, sun time, from the Reformed Church, of North Lima, of which she was a member. Interment will be made in the cemetery at that place.
