COMMENTARY:

SPECIAL NOTE (RODNEY):Rodney Rehm - or Butch as we call him -
Brian's parents took in many foster children over the years. Most stayed only 3 to 5 years. But Butch was the exception. The Moyers got him directly from the Hospital where he had been abandoned by his mother. They raised him for 13 years until Marian died at which time he was put with another foster family. Since the Moyers were the only family he had known for 13 years, he really considers them his parents.
Butch has Cerebral Palsy and is confined to a wheelchair now, although he could walk with braces when he was younger. He is competent enough to live in a group home but not good enough to live on his own. He was very insistent that he be included when I put together my family group sheets, so I included him with Brian and his siblings but actually there is little reason to put him in the genealogy. [Author's note: He is included, even though he was not adopted, based on his request - there will be no offspring tabulated]. One of his favorite things to do is talk on the phone.
