Jun 14[, 1900]This is to certify that Clarence Moses Wieand son of Uriah Wieand, single, non-member and May Estella Giering single, member, daughter of the late Isaac Giering, were married by me at Emaus on the 14th day of June, 1900, license No 9910, Lehigh County Orphans Court. s/ S. Apr 19[, 1903] Charles Moses Wieand married, non-member, son of Uriah H Wieand and his wife Clementine m.n. Erdman born in Emaus May 25th, 1879, baptized Jan 1st, 1880. Married May E. Giering, Jun 14th, 1900. For nearly seven years was Ass't Postmasterof our town. Suffering from Bright's disease for some time, he was siezed by an acute attack on Apr 7th, confined to his bed on the 9th and died on Apr 15th, 1903 at 1230AM, aged 23 years, 10 months, 20days. He leaves his young widow, who is a member of this church and two daughters, one born on the day of his burial. Funeral services on Thursday, Apr 19th, 1903 with sermon in the church on Amos 8:9, interment in the family plot in our cemetery. The [concerns] of the people was extraordinarily large. s/L. H.
